Southeastern Geology: a peer-reviewed journal
Established in 1959 at the Duke University Department of Geology (now Earth & Ocean Sciences), Southeastern Geology is a refereed journal based in Carrollton, GA. We present the results of research in all aspects of the geology of the Southeastern United States. More than 800 articles have been published as of 2021.
In 2009, the geographic scope was increased to include Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the Mexican states of Campeche, Quintana Roo, and Yucatán.
Duncan Heron was the founder and Editor-in-Chief from its inception until 2018. David Bush of the University of West Georgia is the current Editor-in-Chief.
